04.2015 – Hip Hope™ beta device enters field research and testing at Sheba Medical Center, Israel
Hip Hope™ device units were worn by nearly 200 elderly inpatients, in two different wards, during their hospital stay, as part of a large-scale joint research.
The research was intended for logging and analyzing motion data of elderly people, most of them in frail physical condition, as well as for examining device ergonomics and operation and collecting feedback on usability and compliance aspects.
Sheba is Israel’s leading medical center and the largest medical center in the Middle-East.
Sheba’s main drive in entering the joint research has been to reduce the scale of fall-related injuries during hospital stay and secure safer and faster patient recovery.
